About the Asham International Curling Development Centre

The Asham International Curling Development Centre, located within the Morris Curling Club in Morris, MB is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to advancing the sport of curling through training, education, and community engagement.

  • Home of the Canadian Rock Thrower which can quantify the science of sweeping, the only one in North America.

Programs & Services

Development Programs
The centre offers comprehensive training programs for curlers of all skill levels, from beginners to elite athletes. Our programs focus on:

  • Technical skill development
  • Strategy and game planning
  • Physical conditioning
  • Mental performance training
  • Sport Nutrition Performance Training

Coaching & Clinics
Level 4 NCCP Olympic coaches and other expert instruction from certified coaches with experience at national and international levels. The centre hosts regular clinics, camps, and specialized training sessions throughout the year.

Community Access
The centre welcomes curling clubs, schools, birthday parties, community groups and can facilitate cooperate meetings and parties in a fun environment. They provide accessible programming to grow the sport and support curlers at every stage of their journey.

Events & Competitions
The facility hosts regional, national, and international curling events, providing athletes with competitive opportunities and spectators with world-class entertainment.

General Ice Booking Information

  • Ice rental includes use of training equipment ($200 value)
  • Equipment orientation and introductory lesson provided for first practice at no charge
  • Instruction available upon request: $40–$100 per hour

    • iPads, speed traps, lasers, gates, smart brooms, smart phone adapters
    • Two large on-ice TV screens
  • Equipment use permitted after orientation by AICDC staff

Winter Membership Rates

  • Adult: $800 per team / $400 per individual + GST
  • U25 (team total age under 100): $650 per team / $325 per individual + GST

Summer Membership

  • Available to individuals or teams (up to 5 players)
  • Team coach included at no charge
  • Unlimited ice usage, when club is open
    • 7 days/week: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
    • Closed: July 1, August 3, September 7
  • Memberships signed by June 1 receive an AICDC promotional gift

Included with Membership

  • Complimentary use of AICDC training equipment ($2,000 value), excluding CRT
  • 50% discount on Canadian Rock Thrower (CRT) rentals
  • All summer membership teams receive 1 free introductory 2 hour lesson on CRT ($750 value)

  • Adult: $3,000 per team / $1,000 per individual + GST
  • U25: $2,000 per team / $700 per individual + GST

Canadian Rock Thrower (CRT) Rates

(Non-members)

Out-of-Town Team Training Packages

Additional Policies

  1. Only registered players and coaches may be on the ice
  2. Extra players permitted only during scheduled games and with additional fees
  3. Maximum of 4 additional players allowed per session:
    • U25: $20 per player (2 hours)
    • Adult: $25 per player (2 hours)
  4. Ice must be booked 48 hours in advance
  5. Prepay 4 practices and receive the 5th practice free (20% discount)
