Because of this, our approach is twofold.

We are developing a broom that follows a design style already approved under current rules. This allows us to confidently offer a product that meets today’s standards and can be used without concern by curlers at all levels.
This may look familiar—and we understand that. The sleeve-style broom has become the industry standard, with nearly every manufacturer releasing their own interpretation. Asham is no different in that respect.
Innovation Still Matters to Us
At the same time, we are actively working on new broom head concepts that reflect Asham’s commitment to thoughtful design and performance balance. These concepts will be submitted for approval alongside our approved-style broom.
The reality is simple: until a new design is tested and approved, we can’t be certain how it will be evaluated—or whether it may be considered too effective under current rules.
